K-2nd Lead Instructor & Program Developer
(Mon-Wed 9:30a-2:30p)
15 hours per week (plus 1 paid planning hour per week)
31-34 week academic year (August 17-May 12)
$30-$40/hour
We are looking for a teacher to teach our Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesdays 9:30am-2:30pm program for our combined Kindergarten-2nd grade class. This includes our morning academic session teaching language arts, reading, and math from the Masterbooks Christian Curriculum in a one-room schoolhouse type format, with a teacher assistant to help in any way needed such as leading activities or or direct support for individual learners. Our lunch hour 12-1pm incorporates a time of exploratory play (outdoors as often as possible) and is followed by afternoon unit studies that offer a blend of cross-curricular enrichment, homesteading sciences/outdoor skills, STEM activities, history and additional reading/writing opportunities - outside as much as possible (with students and instructors always being prepared with weather appropriate gear).
We want to find a creative individual to help make the vision come to life!
The teacher will also provide lesson plans for parents to utilize in their homeschool record keeping as needed.

Teacher Assistant
Partial day and full day options
31-34 week academic year (August 17-May 12)
$15-20/hour
We wish to maintain a low student to teacher ratio and will utilize classroom assistants to accomplish this goal for our program. This position will assist our lead instructor in the morning with our one-room schoolhouse format by leading activities for breakout learning times and one-on-one student assistance as directed. For the afternoon session, this role will support the lead instructor in lesson plans, activities and student assistance.
